You can write and rank articles written with AI Writer tools such as Jasper.ai, ChatGPT, and other related content writing tools if you publish well-researched and written content as per the standard information I have laid out in this article. This means making sure to proofread and review your content based on the topic if it does provide accurate results and information, most importantly, it should address the search intent of the given keywords or topic.
4 Tips to Write and Rank Articles Written with AI
- Do Keyword Research on Google
- Validate Your Keywords or Topics
- Write Your Article in Proper Format
- Proofread and Audit Your Article
Step 1: Do Keyword Research on Google
The most important aspect of writing high-quality content is keyword research or you can simply think about it as finding the right topics to write about or discuss in your content.
Finding high-quality keywords shouldn’t be as complex and as expensive as the SEO Gurus recommend on Youtube videos or other educational platforms.
It’s 100% Free. You simply need to have basic internet knowledge and use your brain to analyze what people commonly or usually search for related to your niche.
How to Do Keyword Research on Google
Here are several methods of generating keywords:
a) Generate keywords using Keyword Chef. This is Free and Unlimited as long as you don’t press the “Get Keywords” button to get the metrics and only take note of the Sample Keywords the tool has generated for you.
b) Generate keywords using Answerthepublic. This is also Free which I bet you already are familiar with. It produces keywords based on questions from Google Search data, the People Also Ask (PAA).
c) Generate keywords using SearchResponse. This is also Free. It produces keywords based on questions from Google Search data, not only the “People Also Ask” but also the “People Also Search For” and “Related Searches” and it shows useful metrics of the user.
d) Collecting keywords from the Google Search Results. This is what I personally use. Because I am optimizing my content for Google, it’s not a bad idea to trust Google instead of other tools to get keywords that I want to rank for, right? You can actually get keywords from Google Search by typing partial search terms in the search bar and google will eventually recommend phrases or keywords that people are searching for that will drop down from the search bar. The highest volume of searches is what shows at the top. You will then just pick the topic or keyword that is relevant to your niche or whatever you want to write about in your content.
e) Google’s Youtube Search: The above method also applies to youtube.
For more information, please refer to the Keyword Research section that I have explained in my other article entitled “9 Steps AI Blogging Workflow In 2023“.
Step 2: Validate Your Keywords or Topics
The next part of creating a blog post that will rank on google is to make sure your topic or content is based on low-competition keywords.
To do this, make sure you already have noted your topic based on the keywords you have generated in Step 1. And then plug the topics or keywords in the Google Search bar and check the top 10 results if there are forums or social media content that is ranking. Also, if you see any content that is ranking that is not directly related to the search intent of your topic or keyword.
Furthermore, finding content that is ranking with low domain authority. You can check the authority of a certain domain using Ahrefs – Free Keyword Search Tool.
When you find content that is ranking as per the mentioned criteria, you can acknowledge it as an opportunity. The more opportunities you find for a keyword with this method, the better. Then just prioritize the topics you write based on their opportunities. You can either use a spreadsheet to organize the information or use an excel sheet.
Step 3: Write Your Article in the Proper Format
Use the keywords based on what you found in Steps 1-2 as your Title and Headings or Subheadings, and follow the standard outlining of an article or a Blog Post. I’m referring to the Heading tags (H1, H2, H3, and so on; the Introduction, Body, FAQ section, and Conclusion.
How to Write Article Introduction Content
Your introduction should be about the overview of what your article or content is all about. If your topic is a question, your Introduction should answer the question right away in the first paragraph of your introduction. Also, add relevant keywords where possible.
How to Write Article Body Content
The body of your content is your supporting information for the answer you have given in your introduction related to your content topic. For example, if your topic is “How to Bake A Cake”, and your Introduction says “You need these ingredients and types of equipment to bake a cake. And blah blah blah…” while in your body of content, you will discuss why you need those ingredients and types of equipment, as well as walk through step by step the procedure in detail.
How to Write Article FAQs Content
This is simply answering the People Also Ask Google Search data or any result based on the competitive analysis in Step 2 of this article which is closely related to your topic. Not indirectly related, but closely. One example is if your keyword is about “How to Bake A Cake”, then there is a question in Google Search data in the PAA section about “How to Prevent Burning When Baking A Cake?”, you will then just find a 1-2 sentence answer to that question. And continue on to the other PAA Google Search Data. Just make sure it is closely related to your topic. Not necessarily a direct relation.
How to Write Article Conclusion Content
The conclusion will be a summary of your overall discussion in your content and I highly suggest you provide short actionable tips which are relevant to your topic. You can estimate 1-3 sentences in this section.
Step 4: Proofread and Audit Your Article’s Content
As mentioned, you can use an AI Writer tool, as long as you proofread and fact-check the result.
Check the Grammar, Plagiarism, and AI Written Content scores.
Make sure you audit and evaluate your content using tools like Grammarly, Quillbot, or simply your own brain’s common sense.
