What is a Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro technique is a time management method developed in the late 1980s by Francesco Cirillo. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. These intervals are named “Pomodori or Pomodoros” (plural of “Pomodoro”).

The main idea behind this technique is that it helps you stay focused on your work for a longer period of time without being distracted by things like social media and other online distractions.

In order to use the Pomodoro Technique, you need to set up a timer for 25 minutes and then set up some tasks that will take about 25 minutes. Once the timer goes off, take a 5-minute break before starting another Pomodoro session. The 4th break is extended up to 10 minutes which means you will have a longer break such as 15 minutes instead of 5 minutes.
